I'm back once again at the only annual 5K marathon in a historic Charlotte graveyard. Hosted by the Fourth Ward foundation and lively enough to wake the dead, this year I felt a little more mentally prepared for what I was getting into. I still underestimated how physically demanding it would be.

A ton of people showed up once again to participate and once again the entertainment was bumping while the coffee and beer were flowing. At 8:30 in the morning! Ah running culture.
