Thanksgiving Eve Parade (2021)
This year this city decided to hold the annual Thanksgiving Day parade a little earlier than usual... In fact this was more like the Thanksgiving Eve parade held the night before with plenty of light up floats and performers! Well this was different and it certainly created a far more enchanting atmosphere than previous years in the early morning light.
I took my usual station up near the WBTV media cameras (where there was the most light) and captured everything as best I could given the darkness that surrounded us. A lot of my shots were far blurrier or blown out than I would have hoped but in order to really capture the "glow" of the lights I needed to bring my shutter speed down a bit and try to keep myself as still as possible while shooting. Not an easy feat when you're running around matching speeds with marching bands! Also I'm pretty sure I set a world record for the number of squats I did on this evening as my legs are still sore days later!
